The practice of yoga depends on a peaceful setting, and everyone's cooperation is needed to develop a suitable atmosphere of tranquility.

Class basics
For the mutual benefit of all at the Tokyo Yoga Circle, please try to observe the following points of courtesy during classes:
Arrival at least ten minutes before the class commences allows time for setup of mats and blankets and also ensures that when the class starts there is tranquillity in the room.
If you do arrive late, due to unforeseen circumstances, please wait outside until the invocation and chant has finished before entering the yoga room.
If you are not feeling well, especially if you have a severe cough or cold, please take special care to give your body the chance to rest and heal at home, only returning to classes after you have fully recovered.
Arrive at class on an empty stomach. At least two hours should elapse between a normal meal and a yoga class.
If you prefer to use your own yoga mat you may bring it along, otherwise all yoga equipment is available for the common use of all students during the class.
Attire should be comfort-oriented and leggings must be footless.
Turn off your mobile phones (even vibrator mode is disrupting) and remove wristwatches before class.
Should a fit of sneezing or coughing affect you during class, please leave the room until you feel better.
If you must leave early, please do so before the final relaxation/meditation part of the class. Those who are in a deep state of silence at the end of the class should not be disturbed.
"The regular, persevering and alert practise of yoga is the foundation for stabilizing the consciousness." BKS Iyengar
